Not long after, he set up a drum kit in his basement and taught himself to play by learning favorite songs by ear—hours of hands-on practice that gave him a deep appreciation for rhythm and musical creativity. In high school, he began leading worship and discovered not only a love for music, but a calling to use it as a tool for ministry and connection. That calling shaped the trajectory of his life. Over the past 15 years, Mr. Savage has had the privilege of serving in various ministry and worship leadership roles, and currently serves as the Worship Pastor at Lee’s Summit Community Church. He is passionate about developing musicians—not just in skill, but in confidence, creativity, and purpose. He believes music is a powerful gift from God, and it’s a joy to help students grow in their ability to express themselves and worship through it. Mr. Savage holds a Master of Theological Studies from Liberty University, which deepened his understanding of both Scripture and the spiritual foundation behind worship.
